…Kopolokun out, Yar’Adua in

There has being a major portfolio shake up in the nation’s oil and gas industry. The National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) Group Managing Director, Mr. Funsho Kupoloun has been thrown out of the system.

Energy news gathered from a reliable source that earlier Mr. Kopolukun was penciled down for sack but the move was temporary delayed by lobbying from the security chief.
But unfortunately for him, his lobbyists could not calm the storm in the tea cup as the government of President Yar’adua decided to restore sanity in the oil and gas regulatory agency by appointing Mr. Abubakar Lawal yar’Adua the most senior management staff  as new helmsman of the corporation.
Until his appointment as the new GMD of the corporation, Yar’Adua was the group executive director Refineries and Petrochemical Directorate.
Prior to this position, the new NNPC Boss was in charge of the management of Kaduna Refinery from 1996-1997 and again between 1999 and 2000
